Bio

With songs in both English and Mandarin, millions of views on his videos, thousands of fans on Chinese twitter (Weibo), and numerous appearances on Chinese television and radio, American singer-songwriter Clay Garner has already begun to establish his place as an international recording artist. Some of Asia's biggest stars including Wanting Qu and JJ Lin are known to be fans of Clay. Add to the fact that Clay (or Gaoshan as he is known in Asia) just turned 18 years old, has no Asian ancestry, and has self-produced all of his original songs and music videos in addition to playing all of the instruments on the records.  The trilingual teenager (English, Spanish, Mandarin) finds time to play soccer and live a normal high school life in between concerts and appearances on Beijing TV as a program co-host, China Radio International, Youku.com, and 56.com. With a boyish-yet-raspy voice and songs that include Rnb, pop, and traditional Chinese styles, Clay is set to take on the world with his unique and youthful brand of “east meets west”.
